It is easy to recognize when you aren’t happy in life or when things aren’t going well. It is more difficult to figure out what to do or know how to do it on your own. Situations can become so overwhelming, that it can be hard to know where to begin. Counseling isn’t just about “talking”. It’s about gaining insight and understanding, identifying what you would like to be different, and then developing the skills to make those changes. The counseling process is an active process in which we work together to accomplish those goals and see positive results. Individual therapy is also helpful when needing to make important life decisions or when wanting to improve a relationship when the other person is not willing to participate.
