Adjustment/Transitions
As families change and evolve over time, stress is often greatest at key transition points. Sometimes these changes are expected, as when couples become parents, children move away from home, or a family relocates. But sometimes, changes are unexpected, or have unforeseen consequences. Issues not resolved at key transition points can become larger problems over time. This can pose challenges for parents and children alike. If you or your child is having difficulty adjusting after a major life transition, it may be time to seek outside help. Because change is also an opportunity for a fresh start.
